Marketers occasionally cite blind tests as though removing context reveals the “real” product. It reveals the liquid, biscuit or tablet without the cues people normally buy alongside it. An expensive-looking bottle changes the wine before taste has a vote. A menu describing where a dish came from supplies expectation with the starter. Familiar medicine packaging may create reassurance before an identical active ingredient begins work. We consume names, occasions, prices and reputations because humans have yet to develop a mouth sealed off from the brain. That does not grant copy permission to rescue rotten food. Framing borrows belief only until experience collects the debt.
Naming and packaging are product decisions with physical consequences in the customer’s head. Decide what the words make someone anticipate, then earn that anticipation. Reveal craft that exists. Place an unfamiliar flavour in a useful category. Give quality the cues it needs to be noticed. The honest label helps reality arrive in focus; the dishonest one hires expectation to distract the customer while value escapes through the kitchen. Either way, the wrapper is already on the plate.
